Re: Spring have less players

Noone is forced to play 8v8, just befriend someone in chat and start a 1v1, then try to befriend two more for a 2v2. Try to join or form a clan, this will increase the amount of time you spend ingame in ratio to the time you wait for games to start. There are other reasons why people stop playing ga...

Re: Elitism

I was planning on spending a few hour everyday sitting in a 1v1 or maybe a 2v2 server getting as many noobs as possible to spectate/play and have as many "play and ask" games as time would allow. But university more or less steamrolled my plans. I will however try to squeeze in as many of these game...

Re: Dungeon Siege 3

I think the game was decent, can't compare with alot of other releases, but for some casual gaming every now and then it works for me just fine. I like the Reinhart Manx character and how he is played, but the other characters are kinda boring. The game has zero replayability apeal but is somewhat f...

Re: Shift+Esc to Quit

I don't see what the problem is, keep shift-esc, the esc-key is very close to tilde. And even if i have never accidently quited/resigned by mistake, then the window popping up blocks my veiw and commands, so i have been unable to micro units that are surrounding a com, or dancing a com that is surro...

Re: Do you run spring with shadows on?

Shadows and water are the only thing graphicwise that comes close to (or even beats) new games that have a tonload of money behind its production so yes, i have shadows on.

Re: Massive Steam sale

I wonder about you regret. I do not take kindly to viral marketing, DRM promotion or commercial advertisements in general. I wonder if there is anything Regret takes kindly to... Some steam games are nice, but if its not something you would buy normally then you are most likely wasting your cash an...

Problem uploading my texture map to my collaborator

The file is f***ing huge, and takes forever to send to him, or upload to any free upload/download sites. I'm thinking that we ...

Re: Fukushima disaster level raised to level 7 (like chernobil)

Perhaps it is time that people in this forum stop looking for one and only one solution to our energy production/consumption ratio. I say, use what is best in the current situation and location. A mix of sun, water and wind energy generators would be the most preferable solution, though it would be ...

Re: Does anybody have good replays that deserve commentating?

In generall, look for games with rANDY and Daywalker in them, preferable both in the same game.

PRO, WarC, and ofc XHC are the heavy hitters should you be looking for epic game replays if you ask me.

(edit: crap, saw just now that this was a rezed thread :( )

Re: Starcraft 2

Nukes may be a viable strategy, but if i where terran i would probably get a few seige tanks and wall off, then spam ravens and research seeker missile, and get a few viking flowers to protect you from phoenixes and such. Watching that youtube flick shows that a few seeker missiles would to "terribl...

Perhaps, but the other benefits still apply even for someone that doesn't appreciate art, its good for young artists, and it certainly brightens the mood of the commuters more then a cold sterile concrete/cave enviorment would.

Re: One more reason to envy Sweden

all that art and textural roofing is going to be covered with dirt and grime in a few decades it will not be as pretty forever. Beauty seldom lasts forever, statues as well as flowers wither, people age and passion dwindles. Many great philosophers state that beauty is per definition fleeting, thou...
