Basically, it's exactly the same thing as with the cratering decals on the ground, EXCEPT it's created by the building - it fades just like a normal crater decal when the building is removed.

Personally, I think it looks cool. It adds something hard-lined to the buildings.

I've just installed the newest patch and deleted the three old AI files, EmptyAI.dll, JCAI.dll and the last one with the name I can't recall. This amp could become interesting, but the prerequisite here is spending more time on it. Right now, it's just a flat piece of metal, seen and done a hundred times before.

As Zoombie said, add features - terrain, hills, a maze, whatever. Flat metal is boring metal.

30K metal that they'll have a damn hard time using properly. It takes a good two-four minutes, if not more, to build that much metal-storage, and a lot more time to reclaim the Commander corpse. And not to mention that the commbomb itself likely has severely crippled your ability to build and reclaim.

I don't think there's an easy in-game solution to this problem/tactic. The simplest (and oft overlooked) is to remember the name(s) of whoever it was that did it, and subsequently ban them from your games.
