meh spring shoudl work fine with dual core without disabling provided youhave allt heproper drivers. I'm not sure but I think spring is allready somewhat multithreaded but may not be properly thread safe or set up to actually use multiple cores. could be interesting to do like Alan Wake and such and...

Very nice map.infortunately it also shows the biggest grief I have with most TA maps. hills and such look both in appearance and usually in textureing like huge mountains, while in really they're just minor terrain features like a small hilltop. Makes all the units and stuff look very out of scale w...

ok, I've done the steps to get it in Spring. The only part left to be done is the scripting. Now here is the thing, I can't script at all. I might learn it, but it would take me a lot of time, and that is the one thing I don't have. http://lassie.student.utwente.nl/vliet/ingame1.png So if you are c...

If spring is to survive against new up and coming games, it needs this very basic feature. Most of the reason why it's not possible lies witht he use of a pirmitive archaic engine for determining where a unit can move, wich in turn wouldn't be able to differentiate between on or under the bridge. ba...

The game shoudl detect desyncs and resync itself without player involvement and withotu players even noticing. could be a simple matter of the host once every 5 seconds or so sending a ping to all clients to get a delay timsteamp, then asking for full coordinates of a set number of random untis from...

you did read the beta part? you know the one at the very start of your quotes. You allready agreed to the anonymous data collection when you grabbed the beta in one of the checkbox, the EULA is just double verification. the beta thing is also the reason that you are nto allowed to submit benchmarks,...

Halo Wars was just announced at X06, and while I dont' think it was mentioned what HAlo wars was, (the news report I saw just said it looked awesoem) it beign develped by Ensemble s...

Meh, move commands should be superior to fire orders. if a group is set to fire at will and you tell it to move somewhere through a series of waypoints. what shoudl happen is that the units move through the waypoints, do NOT stop to engage, except for firign while movign by. and then goes into fire ...

Microsoft ir proecting their IP. Halo is a active IP that's they are still developing high end games for, Meanwhile TA is old and has pretty much been abandoned.Even if a new TA game was deleoped today it wouldn't matter much as CT's game would overshadow it anyway, it's not like TA has a deep story...

The human mind techncially only perceives 26-30 image changes a second, in regards to seeing fluorescent lights lights, that's because you still see the fligckers but they get condensed into one image. As far as FPS go, 60 FPS seem smoother than 25 because it is essentially. Remember in real life th...
