I keep forgetting but the message tone annoys the HELL out of me. It makes me want to turn off the sounds. Apart from that it seems fine to me.

Just out of curiosity where did you get the voice for the Fed constructor from?

Hurray, gundam is fun with the new uber commanders...everybody has to go play it now... and again, if you want more then one voice I could record myself or whatever... I was listening to team speak... it seems like everyone in the community has the same voice but me.

Well i tried Gundam:

Kontra:
- Some units are not animated
- Some sounds are pretty annoying
a) write a text message and enjoy your ears hurting.
b) Some weapon sounds are really bad

Pro:
- Speech samples for units are nice
- Nice loading screen
- Buildings look good

I think if you finish the animation of all units and work on the sound the mod would be much better.

Which units have missing animations? I don't mind the text sound, personally.

I don't remember any missing animations.

But I do remember seeing a lot of really neat animations that are compleatly unnessisary. Like the white base's side guns opening then reeling out then firing. Or the truks that drop of box's in the Lvl 4 factory.

Maybe he means units like the DOM, which doesn't walk but hovers or a flying unit.

Then that dosn't really count as a 'missing' walk animation, cuase the darn thing hovers!

which is intenional. i think he means the ACguy and Zgok, Zeon's amphib assault mechs. they are on the to do list and will get fixed.

List what sounds u find annoying and Smoth will see what he can do.

Now my question is how did it play? all the things u brought up are cosmetic (necessary for this to be free of OTA content), none talk about balance or gameplay or just how much fun u had.

I mean the unit with the ridicoulous long cannon ;). But it doesn't look like it hovers, more sliding unanimated over the ground.

To talk some useful stuff about gameplay i have to play it more often.

well i don't know any tech specs about teh Xamel but it suppose to hover and i don't know how u want him to show that.

If i was to take a stab at the propulsion system of the Xamel i would say it uses a Minvosky Generator which alllows hover capablity without an noticable exhaust. and since Smoth is trying to stay close to canon as possible the current animation makes sense.

AFAIK it uses the same system as the Dom series - hover jets.

just checked, it does in fact use minovsky generator so it technically wouldn't have any visible exhaust.

I think you may be playing 1.0. Check the wiki, I have a link to the public test version.

The xamel hovers over the ground. It has no animation outside of it's cannon. Outside of that it really doesn't use it's arms.
Rayden wrote:- Some sounds are pretty annoying
Which ones? I'll address it.
Rayden wrote:a) write a text message and enjoy your ears hurting.
If you were playing 1.0 that was because in a prior version of spring I had to raise the volume for that version. Then in the next version of spring they corrected the audio volume so I had to adjust it in the next version.

Wiki feedback:

I think you'll find that it's the Dutchy of Zeon.

Can the Gouf and Dodais really be built from two labs?

duchy = dukedom = the domain controlled by a duke or duchess :)... considering it was ruled by... a man...

They mean the same thing. It was later called the pricipality of zeon.

BTW, people who needed a unit guide.... how do you like the progress on the wiki?
