How to grab mouse input

I am running Spring in windowed mode under Gnome (Ubuntu 9.04). I have heard people mentioning about setting the window to grab mouse input (i.e. mouse is trapped inside window).

How do I do this?

Thanks

Twinview, but different size screens

Hello, I was looking forward to being able to play Spring under Linux with my dual screen setup. However, I cannot find a way to get it to work properly with my dual screens. One screen is 1680x1050 while the other is 1280x1024. I have them setup using Nvidia twinview as a single desktop. It seems t...

Please ignore my ramblings

EDIT: I am running under linux, that shouldn't make a difference, should it?

Not sure what is going on with healthbars since my last install of spring, but this widget now only seems to display healthbars for stuff that is being built and not for normal units . :s I have reverted to using the standard healthbars, which is a shame because I really liked these shineh new LUA o...

This has happened in every XTA v9 Gold 0.1 game I have played today, so is very unlikely to be game-specific.

I didn't buy the mag so I don't know, but I guess they would have just downloaded the installer from the website and stuck it on the CD (maybe the GPL installer if they were feeling concientious).

Spring on PC Format coverdisc

Was having a read of the PC mags in my local newsagent, when I noticed PC Format (a UK general pc magazine) were advertising that their DVD this month contains 200 free games, when I looked at the list of games TA: Spring was included. Ok, so it was 1 line in a tiny font, but Spring made another mai...

Giving it a try - will let you know of any problems. The last metal maker UI proved invaluable and any performance gain in the LUA is much appreciated. Keep it up :)

As above - it should run fine, just make sure you keep the graphics settings on minimal levels to keep the play fluid :)

Oh and welcome to Spring!

IMO, specs should only be allowed to talk amongst each other. There is nothing more annoying that specs informing your enemy of an impending attack, or just generally spamming up the in game chat, so that you miss important messages from your allies :( </bitter experience>

To be honest you don't want to add extra complexity to the game when people first join. It is hard enough to explain to someone the basics when they jump straight into your battle having only just installed the game. Maybe once the bug causing the host to (occasionally) crash is sorted out (only hap...

I think the main thing preventing people from taking up Spring on mass, is the "out-of-the-box-ness". I.e. you should just be able to download a "setup.exe" file, install, jump in a game and play. TBH, this is almost there. The TAS Lobby client is brilliant IMO - just needs more ...

LuaUI and hosting just isn't a nice combination, I think that's more the problem than the widget. Oh I see. I think someone mentioned that in #main the other day (something useful in main, whatever next!). Ah well, I guess it might be time to get my other PC working as a bot host. Hope this does ge...

Bug in Idle Cons widget

I find the Idle Cons widget to be very useful, but thought I should report this problem (and see if anyone else has experienced it). I was hosting a game of XTA, played fine for about 5 mins then an error message appeared in the console: something to do with IdleCons LUA performing a comparision wit...
