Spring RTS Engine

Well, it's just how I see it. Source has a lot of screenshots too and yet they use another one in the main banner thingie.

My eyes! They hurt!

Really, why don't you just use a nice screenshot as a background just like any other major engine does in Mod DB? A great image sells better than an ugly ass logo like AF's.

Eh... Just a few suggestions to those interested in doing banners and welcome images: Don't duplicate the logo. The website already has a logo and putting it again inside the main banner's image is not coherent. The blue color of the main banner is part of the design and if it's replaced completely ...

I was just thinking, the images will probably be as diverse as possible(modwise) and you might as well mention the name of the mod so players can actually find them if they're interested, and if you have an image with the name of a mod you might as well be able to click it. As long as they don't look completely out of place, some variety is always welcome.

If anyone is planning to do some welcome images, please make sure the bottom left corner is dark enough for the text to be clear!

Do you think it's a good idea to deploy this when 0.77 is released? It could work like a bit of promotion if it's done properly.

I made a blue version without glow and with more rounded corners a while ago, but no one commented on it.
