Well to me spring is one of the most impressive open source games ever. I haven't really played it very much, but I'm still at ~3600 in-game minutes which is way more play time than I get from many commercial games.

While I agree that SupCom gets "a little bit" too much hype, I doubt it will be bad. Didn't chris taylor say that they planned the game as multiplayer from the very beginning? Shouldn't they notice any stupid things destroying the balance? I hope so. And while I understand how Spring and S...

Ground Control 2 uses a hardware cursor (is this the right term for it?) too, for example.

actually due to the severely limited bandwidth of the fsb the new chips (2 dual core processors on 1 die pentium d like) the performance will be degraded under gaming (high bandwidth) conditions like it was with hyper threading. hm, I don't know. even if it is 'limited', it's still really really fa...

I'd say it's a bad idea to phase out the old format, or at least if it's done too quickly. There are many really good, beautiful and fun maps for the old one, it should only be phased out (if at all) when there is at least a comparable number of maps (ports or new ones) for the new format. Just my t...

We really need some way of telling people that spamming will get you autobanned no matter where you do it. Make it in bold red flashing letters, 72 point preferably. this is a good idea. the servers should send some kind warning before banning that continuing to spam lines like this might result in...

I reall don't know what could be causing this.. you're sure the map files are not broken? Did you try redownloading them?
Also, sorry if this sounds stupid, but you didn't download them through the lobby client, did you? Direct downloading doesn't work atm

You said AAI can only learn when the unit killing its units is in range? So when I use, say, a tremor to kill most of its defenses, will it ignore that? Or is it enough if it spots it from time to time?

It isn't possible to make a "good" speedmetal map, because speedmetal maps suck per definition :P
The only thing they're good for is goofing around with like +1500 metal after 10 minutes
