The ability to queue whatever the hell I want, and it doesn't matter if my resources are nonexistant! And the word Queue looks weird....

It's true. I found it pretty damned impossible to play any RTS games after TA. The queueing aspect meant you could do so much, so easily.

I can't even go back to OTA with Spring's queueing and repeat on.

Yeah. Other RTS's are missing out on how great Spring it.

I think they should just give up and die.

Like, the only RTS I can think of I WOULD Like if I had, would have to be Earth 2160, or some medieval games, not like BFME or anything...

Like The Settlers, maybe....

I dunno, screw em all, GO SPRING!

I just find it hard to play other RTSes because they feel so slow. You spend so much time in the "build up" stage of the game that Spring compresses into, like, 5 minutes. Or the game is ruled by the first units you can produce. Either way, Spring wins.

I don't know. Most mp rts games are very fast paced, take dawn of war for example. Against computer, you might take all the time of the world, but against humans you better be fast.

From what I understand, Dawn of War falls into the "the game is ruled by the first units you can produce" category at high levels of competitive play.

It also falls into the "micromanage everywhere" category. Limited queues, for example.

I'd say the build interface in E2160 is actually superior to Spring but I think its unit waypoint system isn't as good.

i like the fact that comebacks are possbile even if one controls 70% of land. If i get lvl2 by the time and have moho eco i can still win. also MM's are nice idea.

I layed the ota for years never really got into the online gameplay but even still it far surpassed any other game I have everplayed and spring only adds to it. for example: when you build something on a tree or metal they fix the problem themself. the build in a sqaur is also very cool. and of corse the repet. and actruly being able to zoom out far enough to see everything going on at once. Yea spring defently kicks a&#.

Supreme Commander: the most overrated game that doesn't yet exist!

Although I expect it will be good, I don't think it will be able to compete long term with Spring in game play or features (though in graphics, sound, and pretty interface categories it will win hands down). I bet in the short term it will be more moddable too, due to more modding tools.

I really like the continuous development of Spring, and the lack of annoying things like pay-to-queue, limited zooming, and arbitrary army-size limits. Continuous mod addition and balancing is also excellent.

Go against the grain and doubt the coming of our savior?
How dare you!

Actually, I'm happy that we have Spring, just in case Supreme Commander sucks.

Foe, if Sup Com is ANYTHING like TA, then it will probebly inspire a modding community like TA. So I'm fairly certin that people will mod for SupCom as much as they did for TA. At least they better, cause TA had some great great mods. As does Spring. Now a Sup Com EE, or Sup Com Gundam mod would be cool.

But I'm getting a little ahead of myself. Sup Com could still be terrible, but I hope not.

I have Very high hopes for Supreme Commander i am sure its going to be more then great, I mean with the creater of Ta behind this game theres no way this game will suck.

But one thing i do worry about, Will this game run good on my machine ...
I can tell this games going to be a really heavy one and its going to take a high end machine to run this game smoothly

Ehh, yeah other games are WAY SLOW! I recently tried, and just building 2 units from 2 factories at one time = big no no, too slow...

GO TA SPRING!
