Spring RTS Engine

Just on a sidenote: Alt+Shift is the standard keycombo to change to a different keyboard input scheme for windows. Maybe this is what's causing the problem somewhow and not Spring itself?

VSYNC is disabled because i disabled it. i usually don't notice much screen tearing in TASpring. Reflective Water is working quite well here, not to speak of Dynamic Water of course :) If i zoom out manually to the highest point while still centering the map, i can get up to 260fps in MoonQ20 for ex...

yes. expecially farks guarding a slower t2-kbot that's walking somewhere. it's annoying as hell even when unit sounds are turned down quite a lot.

The problem is solved.

All i did was completely wipe the HD and cleanly reinstall everything. Guess even DriverCleaner sometimes can't delete everything to provide a clean install. i'm now back to above 250-300 fps in most situations. plenty of room for action.

oh and sorry, but i can't help. you might want to check some of the online speedtest sites though. perhaps they can tell whether you are reaching the speed your ISP tells you at all.

i doubt it's just a problem with a specific piece of hardware. once i go back to the old drivers everything is running fine again. i guess nvidia simply changed something that the spring devs aren't aware of yet. could everyone that's running the 91.31 drivers AND has a 7800GTX 256MB PCI-E Card plea...

I already tried turning down and off everything i could. it made it look like complete crap but it still had crappy FPS. VSYNC/AA/AF/whatever are turned off of course.

I'm having severe slowdowns with the new NVidia 91.31 drivers. In comparison to the "old" 84.25 drivers i'm loosing about 80% of the total framerate. For example on "3 Bridges" when zoomed out i get a maximum of 20 fps where i got about 100 with the 84.25 drivers before. I alread...
