For quantum,

there are some problems with the advanced torpedo launcher (at least the core version) the stats are all wrong, they have half hp of an advanced submarine and cost three time as much! check it.

You can render on the texture with max too, just put a skylight with shadow on the model, and render to texture to get ao on texture

each map with this feature will have something (a list?, a script?) with the units list for each start position.

I dont know how the engine work but it should not be too difficult to add some units to the start of the game. The feature will work only with fixed starting position obiviously.

I'd prefer to have only a card that split his power between graphics rendering and physics so if you dont need physic you can have better graphics and vice versa.

I was thinking about a 3ds max script to export animation for spring... it should be easy to be done and VERY useful because 3ds do all the work, you only need to export position and angle of each object for each frame...

the only thing is that s3o should support 3ds pivots...

OMG, isn't a graphic board enought? To play a mid level pc game you will need a 500$PC with a 500$ graphic board and a 500$ physic board :(
Work PC : 300$
Gaming PC: 1500$

I hope that the ppu will be integrated in the video card... maybe we will have lower prices..
