- last years i was focusing on making a 4 or 6 legged walker ingame because i need it and this lack from evry releases (commercials inclued)
- the first awardness of this adiction was by watching earth2150 ucs spiders intro movie that feeled me good and i wished to mod it but that was closed with the result we know (abandon)
- now that i had done this first step i wish a map that make a real usage of this slow vehicule : when i tested a game using all possible vehicule it was obivious than a slow but heavy armored machine was totally useless in a short standard game because i dont design wall climbing devices (who look hugly with heightmap texture streetch)
- so i must make evrything by myself and since i start to understand greyscale usage i can make map with slopes limited to 45° aka 100% : when real tracked vehicules cannot climb more than 60% that make a little nice for the 6 leeged walkers !
- what about 2 legs ? antropoids ? this a niche far more little again and i will study when
this years goal was done :
- im a huge fan of some details as landing assault scenes that need a lot of management for not turning at chaotic massacre
so a vehicule with 6 legs a map that make usefull without walls and a assault landing gameplay
2011 year i studied the .lua animdef and at end i was learning the transportation codes : there is lot of mathematical need for make a anim not just a teleportation and i was weak at geometrie since i never got a use for it ...but i feeled that was great knowelge ;
my plan is easy :
- i make hull with cranes (and a symbolic weaponery)
- i make turet with symbolic wheels (with very limited slopes)
- i make softmaps with vauban1750 kind of design
- since springmapedit released all become easy and fun to make but there is a need to develop prefab tools (and a metal eraser too)
- i like to design but not much to make a lot of models and for that i found smart to make only 6 hulls and 6 turrets with transportation combinations
6 factory that need a huge work for being nice and lot of economic building that is boring to make ;
- when all this will be done i wish really to add a Gl draw of energy link as fibtr mod/game made (wonder why none liked these gameplay)
- and another care is to add ammo and fuel for ground units but this years are so short at this time i doubt i will make more than a map a hull and a turret and a factory this winter..
