Google Summer of Code
From Spring
Jump to navigationJump to searchIntroduction
Welcome to the GSoC 2012 page! This year, Spring wants to participate in Google's fantastic Summer of Code program. We can't do this alone, however -- everyone has to pitch in to make the experience a good one.
I'm already a Springer -- How can I help?
If you're knowledgeable about the engine or with regard to content creation, you can apply to be a mentor.
Volunteers can also help by cleaning up and expanding the documentation, especially pages pertinent to GSoC.
I'm a Student -- What's this all about?
If you want to help Spring out and learn something along the way, you can join us as a student!
- For possible projects, look at the project proposals page. You can also come up with your own ideas. If our projects gets accepted, send your application to Google.
- To participate, see the student application page.
- To get in contact with the Spring community create a forum account, join one of our irc channels (#sy @ QuakeNet & #taspring @ FreeNode) or create a lobby account and join #sy in the game lobby. (all channels are bridged by an irc bot)
- To get in touch with Spring, download its source code & setup a build enviroment to get familiar with it.
See the timeline at GSoC for more details.
