i remind mech battletech about need of jet pack
and only now i read about the new tags NoSelfDamage -impulsefactor
=>really apropriat for do this
a weapon slot used for ground sight by user with huge impulse and noselfdamag enabl can drop the unit aproximativly on unreachabl hill
not really a jet pack but can jump

A- this is an ART forum, not a code forum....

B- how would you tell the unit to fire on the ground behind it, and under it.... so that it can propel itself upon a hill.. without doing it 1 by 1?? it would be TOOOO tedious of a task to make them all "jump" 1 by 1.

C- wouldn't the force have to be SOO great that a- it would deform the land terrible, and b- hurt everything else within the radius??? just because it won't hurt itself, dosen't mean it won't hurt everything else...

And lastly it wouldn't jump but drift off in some random direction :P

Rocket jumps for the win though.

emmanuel its been thought of before, good idea byut yes A,B, and C apply. but it would eb nice to have some kind of jump capabilities, how ever the only way i can see is if some coder decides to create collision sphere manipulation via script.. or maybe its own jump code which would probably be alot harder... meanwhile we'll just have to wait for some code to take advatage of in the future.

It's not that difficult to make though, would require a ground/vtol unit with a fuel variable to define jump duration and a jump button to turn it into a vtol for some time (fuel). Battletech would profit from it quite a lot I think.

Someone move that to the feature request forum :)

development to allow a unit to fly off/on? i geuss it might work but may look funky, maybe not tho i mean vtols automatically falling and climbing look fine, but not real rocket like.

maybe can be coded or not ...
but the idea say here can be used in game now
and can push the victory ingame
but i don t play taspring...i will try to make an unit and post pictures if i reach to jump on a hills without path(maybe a kamikaz nuc unit[not maybe :sure!])

If my feature made it (Modders Keys, able to make our own keys such as on/off, and other stuff!) we could kinda do that...

This would require metamorphosis as currently a unit can only be a ground OR an air unit, not both. And it can't toggle that, either.
