Just wondering seeing as there is so much GPU power on tap these days has nobody toyed with the idea of multi-GPU spring ?
will it ever see the light of day ?

The gpu usage of spring is minuscule compared to the CPU usage. As an example with a NVIDIA 9 series card you can run even the most graphically advanced game for spring on max settings and get a solid 80 fps the entire time. As a result, multi you is pretty far down on the totem pole.

Doesn't stuff like SLi/Crossfire work automagically for openGL programs, or just require a command to the drivers?

yes. I've used ati's in the past with spring, and didn't notice any difference with it on or off, other than the usual ati bugs.
