Disable dgun for the first 60secs to avoid dgun teammates
You know the drill, 2 players place on the same metal cluster.
dgun madness ensures.
Dgun has no uses for the first 60secs, until the first air fac is up, and u atlas ur way to the enemy base.
So, disable dgun for the first 60secs of a game, and there wont be anymore dgunning teammates.
Problem solved, less player anger & i get a carrot.

This is trivial to do in lua, and pretty much only applies to BA. Go to the BA thread.

It applies to several mods actually but the best solution would be to just prosecute such behavior.

Like what? Doesn't apply to CA or NOTA, I really doubt its going into XTA, nothing else based on TA is played much.

You even don't really need Lua - just make a variable in the Com's script that blocks the D-Gun's aiming function until you've set that variable to 1 or whatever you want. Then you'll only need a simple function you put in Create() that sleeps for a couple of seconds and then sets the variable to the desired value...
You wouldn't have a comfortable on/off option to switch though...

dont force everyone to use this please, playing on maps like tinyMe u need the dgun really fast...

It's not going to happen anyway. Dgun only after 60 secs would mean people start dgunning allies after that time is up (never mind that if someone is intent on ruining the game for his allies there are myriads of ways and no game rule is going to stop them) and I don't think Noize likes the idea of arbitrary restrictions on the dgun anyway.caldera wrote:dont force everyone to use this please, playing on maps like tinyMe u need the dgun really fast...

Disabled friendly fire (optional) might be a better solution to this problem. Units would also have to be impervious to "friendly explosions"

If someone is only in the game to ruin it, they are going to ruin it regardless of a 60 second rule on d-gunning.

That's the CTRL modifier when you select the command via keyboard.

Don't disable it (because it can be useful in first 60 secs) but make it's damage very low. I mean charging (with progress bar ?) D-Gun during first minute which supports with increasing of it's damage and when minute ends D-Gun is ready.
