I've had this problem in a few games with new spring version. But one 4v4 playing NOTA 1.50, the spam was endless. I assume all players were affected (a few definetely were). Pausing stopped the spam, so we could pause to communicate.

[ 21677] Invalid order from player 10 for (unit 8667, team 6)
[ 21677] Invalid order from player 10 for (unit 8667, team 6)
The apparrent source of the messages changed thoughout the game. There was no player 10 or 13 (we had 1-8) and no teams 6 or 7 (we had 1 & 2).

Re: Invalid order spam with 0.77b2
Team refers to the id in the lobby, Spring's terminology is one team per commander (in case of com share) and allyteam for an alliance.
Re: Invalid order spam with 0.77b2
team numbers were 1 & 2 in the lobby. players 1-8. or are the displayed numbers different?
Re: Invalid order spam with 0.77b2
Were there any spectators?
Re: Invalid order spam with 0.77b2
yeah lots of spectators. the orders were from them then?
Re: Invalid order spam with 0.77b2
Hmm. Sounds almost like spectators were clicking on units and things, and some Gadget code thought they were trying to issue orders. Probably wrong, but that would explain the player numbers.
Tell your specs that they should not click on any units... see if the spam mysteriously stops happening.

Re: Invalid order spam with 0.77b2
In the infolog.txt lines 310 - 39000 are almost all invalid order spam. thats near 40000 lines of it. While playing the game, any valid messages immediately disappeared off the top, replaced by lines of spam. It did cease intermittently. Pausing the game paused the spam, but it restarted immediately afterwards.
I guess it could be a script running on spec's computers or something? Or will spring repeat send some order that doesn't get a response? I'll keep an eye on it and try to find any patterns.

Re: Invalid order spam with 0.77b2
had this issue too in the last game BA 6.41, i'm quite sure its not caused by specs because we had only 3 of them and about 40k "invalid..." messages (hmm thats almost the same number as momfreek had...). also the game desynced heavily (dont had this for quite a long time). game also crashed after about 20 minutes... perhaps the infolog file was full :) it has more than 3megs now...
Re: Invalid order spam with 0.77b2
I've seen i t too, also with spectators and player number was higher than any actual players (so spectator). No desync or anything though, and it seemed like all the players were capable of controlling their own stuff.
Re: Invalid order spam with 0.77b2
The invalid-order-spam bug has already been fixed.
Re: Invalid order spam with 0.77b2
if it was fixed, that's gravy
but i noticed the message popped up every time i right click-dragged to make a drawn (rather than straight) line with my units in ba 6.41 maybe this helps a bit
