Woot!
My personal preference would not to make the power packs yellow though, nothing against old school but what it is now is better imo.
Now, not that i know anything about modeling but wouldnt it be better NOT to grayscale the texture and just set the gamma factor with "curves"
(imadge/adgustment/curves (PS8)) That way you could simply adjust the darker part of the texture and majoritively speaking leave the currant highlights alone..........would that work? or you got some fancy multilayer texture thingy going on?

XTA_V9 is going through a major over haul atm, the change log is HUGE and full of bug fixes and balance corrections. You can look at the work being done here http://xta.wolfgame.org/forum/index.php
As for the com, i dont know of any more work done to it thus far bar the cob file witch is now working beautifully. Im not fully sure about this "upgrade" ability witch has been asked for t community but it will be in time. Perhaps not this release but by the second most certainly.
I dont know about the textures being adjusted as f yet either but Sheekle has posted informing us that he is going over the textures and models in xta to improve things generally. I hope the com textures are part of that.
