KAI v0.11
Its here folks! A shoddy, barely tested, poorly playing mountain of code i affectionately call KAI.

To install, dump the dll into the \TASpring\aidll\globalai\ folder and play, thats all you have to do.
DISCLAIMER:
This is a test release for stability and speed. ANY gameplay/performance related suggestions or bug reports will be utterly ignored . Theres thousands of things to do still and due to the extreme amounts of testing i am likely to know about all issues you might discover, and even if it werent so there are many priorities ahead of them. Focus on crashes, error messages.
Please report which mods/maps it crashes on, game settings (resources, allies) along with your specs (cpu and ram will do) and/or how to reproduce the crash in detail.
And yes the logs/tgas are intended to be blank.
Tested with AA mainly on flattish maps, play around and see what you get for other mods/maps.

Any time I try and run more than 2 KAI's it crashes (with me as a spec)
Also, EE crashes consistantly before a game ends, MOSTLY when it is about to end (AI is just mopping up mexes and so forth)
also, XTA worked fine for me (Delta Seige)
a side note to be ignored since its about gameplay (=P) The static defense placement is impressive, as it puts turrets on cliffs and whatnot.

I noticed it crashed when I tried 2 ai's v 2 ai's. Probably due to the 'more than 2' ai bug above.
The AI seems to handle speedmetal fine, but constantly crashes before game end (on AA).
Didn't know there was problems with metal maps though, so I'll try deltasiege.
Anyone tried going on the same team as an AI? It doesnt seem to make it any more crash-prone than normal. You can build anything you want and let the ai worry about resources :)
plus you can go in first-person skirmishes while the AI takes care of defenses ect. pretty fun :D

I defeated it 1 on 1 on MoonQ10 XTAv7 a few hours ago. The map isn't quite flat but it was fun against it anyway and it kept shoving units up my ass. Goliaths after 10/15 minutes. I guess it gets really strong on large open maps. Anyway it couldn't defend itself after I killed the comm and their mexes. Though it nicely placed defenses and sensors on the high edges of the craters and jammed it's main base.
Also noticed that it crashs when there's more than one AI, but that doesn't matter. Even in this state it put up more of a challenge than AAI.

Thats very good, were starting to see a pattern! Any particular maps/mods which crash it? (nanoblobs is one of them). Gameplay should be kept out of here for now but:
Handicap does wonders for it, it seems more human-like with it than without IMO and is a temp fix fox more than 1 AI problem
also, at what time does it crash with 2 AIs? any error messages?

I have a sneaking suspicion that the group attack routine against planes will crash (thus shortly after KAI's opponent send out some planes). If the game seems to just close without any error messages, try to remember if you saw planes just then. So thats one possibly known issue ^_^
Another is the one where you ally two KAI's, seems to crash on startup. Doesnt seem to be an issue if kai is allied to something else (like emptyai :D).

Wow, this AI rocks! It's the only ai I can get working so far, except NTai, which I don't like, but anyways good job on kai! It works for me with XTA7 and AA200, and I played each around 2-3 hour games and I get no error messages or crashes.

It's a nice IA, and the for a first release, that's a good job !

Your IA even used very well some units of my work...(Heavy-rockets lancher with a close-combat flamethrower...They were just lanching lots of rocketsn and fleeing behind my poor k-bots)

hmm, I just did an NTai vs KAI game with no problems.
However I'm curious as to why KAI started reclaiming every rock insight at the beginning instead of building mexes, sometimes even tho it had maxed out on metal...
*watches a horde of KAI con vehicles try to get to a rock out of reach....*

PS :: I defeated KAI by two methods. aircraft, or simply outnumbering KAI. I noticed by that point KAI had stopped building from most of its factories, was only building ground defences, and then suddenly it stopped altogether and just build from 1 adv vehicle factory building penetrators and merls (AA 2.0). It's commander did nothing to avoid the horde of lvl 1 kbots destroying it, and con kbots tried to walk through my armies of kbots to build defences on lines that'd been overrun....
If a defencive emplacement keeps getting overrun KAI doesn't realize it doesn't work and continues to build it instead of changing the mix.
