Who likes MetalMaps & Who Doesn't ?
Let us find out the great mystery about the people playing metal.. Do they like them, is it a large group, or is it maybe a myth, and are all those speedmetal games actually empty, or is it some evil anti spring group, send by Chris Taylor, to boycot the progress of Spring.. or or... isn't there anything big going on, besides some of online gamers that do like and play this map...???

A Spring mapping forum isn't exactly the best place to find out why people like metal maps; because anyone with enough interest in mapping to venture onto this forum realises that metal maps are the pop-junk of the Spring world. They mostly make for brainless games where you don't have to think too much. And people like that.

Indeed. I'm new to this, and have recently downloaded two metal maps; Core Prime (off of the original, I think) and Metal-Heck. Both are quite good.Warlord Zsinj wrote:A Spring mapping forum isn't exactly the best place to find out why people like metal maps; because anyone with enough interest in mapping to venture onto this forum realises that metal maps are the pop-junk of the Spring world. I think the point is that you don't have to concentrate on the resource gathering as much; this allows you to concentrate on producing large armies and smashing each other into the dust.
This is why I like the Supreme Commander Trailer, as it shows the best kind of warfare; two armies, lining up and then smashing each other into bits. Heh heh heh.
Well, the metal maps are okay. But I do like the normal maps for their far-varying terrain and looks. Plus strategy, yes.
I once looked it up, and I think it started with some open source project (maybe svn...) using it for voting, I think the meaning was something like:Zoombie wrote:+2. And whats with this +1, +2 things?Candleman wrote:I vote "lock all metal map debate threads"
+1 Fully agreed.
+0 I don't really care but it seems right
-0 It seems kinda wrong
