once they have the radar targetting switch, they will forget so fast it exist it wont be worth making the change in the first place.
Proof?... we have ghosts off since way long time, not ever seen anybody playing with it enabled. e: "ghosts off" enabled. you get it, dont you?
Specially those who ASKED for it.
Actually, I would like to see some players that really liked the game(TA), and were great fun to play with, getting into the lobby and having amazing battles with, thinking in the tremendous potential/advantage spring has to offer over TA. (no to mention its mods.)
Then why that doesnt happen?
The truth is, they dont care about TA any more, are playing other games, want a prettier GUI, are lazy bumps (to re-learn), are a bunch of old whiners (about anything and the other), are not convinced by open source projects, their brains are burnt out, they actually wont be able to learn this game, they never got out of the mindset of the original (... agh.. bad!) balance, or they are dead.
So.. for much i would like them to come back, they wont.
They will still be playing something else, maybe other genre even (omg sin!).
So why to take the extra bother?.
Personally, i will.
Even when i will be looked like the wirdest guy, for playing a game with (nearly) OTA models/textures/animations yet!. (which year is evolva from..?)
But i wont be trying to get things "back" to what it used to be, because i rather play the original TA than spring if i want that.
If you( or they) are willing to "risk" themselves to play spring, its for the change, and its because of the new things it has to offer.
And the game is working almost perfect (despite the little bugs every now and then).
So the bother is actually to show the new stuff, and get them to grasp the new possiblilities...
impossible? yep, im affraid.
