Cool - a fellow physicist :-)

I'm in my second year at university doing physics with space science and technology (gah, I have to write that all out on the front of exam papers :() myself.

Wonder how many others there are on these boards? 8)

nope, they're just always in the last place you look. and that is because you would have to be a complete moron to carry on looking once you've found them - unless you were trying to prove they're everywhere at the same time!

You have two lumps under a cloth, both wallet shaped. Untill you know which ones which, Theoretically, They are both wallets.

And yes.

Of course, what people actually mean when they say 'they're in the last place you look' is that they're in the last place you THINK to look. Which them makes sense logically, if not statistically...

TBH, its a bit of both :P

They are also both chipmunks, since it's not a simple wallet-or-not-wallet possibility

Ack, a little over three weeks till my baptisim of fire (aka Quantum). I've got nuclear first but by comparison it's a cakewalk.
Oh well, at least next year I get to build a Rocket :D

Eh, Souless I just saw you're location. Which uni you at, Leicester or De-Montford?

Aren't they gonna do an experiment in space called F.E.L.I.X. which uses incredibly pure crystals and laser light to Prove The Schrodinger's cat Theory? I just remebered reading about taht at some point in New Scientist.

you can prove it. all you need is a soundproof opaque box, a cat, some nerve gas, and a trigger based on nuclear decays (which is in a second box, also sealed so noone peeks)
you leave the cat in for a given time, there is a probability that it is still alive etc etc

a little bit of a cruel experiment, but then who would know?

I hope that doesn't mean they plan to use me as their cat.

OK, first guess. You're first name is Dave and you're second name begins with A

Yeah I'm quite surprised really. There's perhaps 3000-4000 players (well people with Spring) of spring in the world, and one of them happens to be one of 50 other people doing 2nd year physics at leicester uni.

Yeah that is a little unlikely...

If you're Vitas I'll laugh so much, seeing as I CAN SEE HIS HOUSE FROM HERE :P

mind you, half the uni lives down this street...

It would also seem you're doing space science (rocket project), and have advanced both major modules this year...oh I can't be bothered to figure it out, who are you? :P

And yes, I'm Dave A, but which one? -Of course we could both be Dave A's...I would be the one that DIDN'T do the C programming project about 2 months earlier than the rest of the class

add floppy hair and there I am...oh balls i'm gonna get jumped tomorrow aren't I - This is what I get for putting too much stuff in my profile

My username is a lot more....gothy (or something) than my actual nature :P
Its a throwback to a tag I used on a tabletop gaming forum ages ago - I used to play Necrons, who, being mechanical, have no souls.

Woo, +1 geekiness...:?
