neutral weapons like mine(notremote) or electro barrier
is an possibility to build a minefield as a dragon teeth will be only ghost visiblity and not attack selectiv (a normal mine=neutral exposiv bombtrap at low cost)
the same question about volcano for map with lot of lava sprayding or acid geyser like smoke corosiv
old talk about gaya seem said no but building a weaponized feature is maybe another kind of prog for developers ...if not existing now...
about electro barrier i think at an anti army rushing fence where ally or ennemy unit not turn around but take damage in past to ...maybe a reversiv interupt like a automated door for ally if ally structure

I think he wants:
-Mines which don't count against your unit limit and don't discriminate when exploding;
-Map particle systems for geysers and what have you, or neutral gaia units which run scripts to spoof the effect;
-A type of wall which slowly damages everything inside of it instead of blocking it from travelling through, probably with a graphical effect to go with it.

Ok, simply attatch them to team 16 rather than any others and they'll be GAIA units, and thus the mines should behave that way.
The geyser things and whatnot could be done if unitnames in the featuremap where autoloaded into the GAIA team.
The last one can be done with a little fudging and trickery on the modders behalf...

True, the extra team was just half of the solution. The other thing that had to be done was allowing the map to specify gaia units as if they were features, but I never got around to doing that. Well actually I started on it but the feature code looked so "not clean" that I reverted to my usual idea of "let's just fix that when we clean up that code"How do you attach something to team 16? Last time I checked we can't do that
Anyway, working on the new map system now anyway, so I'll see if I can put that in it as well...
