Big maps do lag for slow computers, but thats because they can't handle em. Me playing a 24x24 map is imbossibole, even with 2 players.

Not enough video ram / too slow vidcard probably. That shouldn't lag the entire game though (unless it's really bad, but then you shouldn't be in the game anyway) because drawing is just skipped when there is no time for it (due to pending simulation updates).

No.

In the worst case it uses somewhat more video ram on the clients which could lead to a lower graphics framerate.

The simulation framerate and/or network bandwidth necessary (lag) aren't influenced at all by the size/diversity of the map.
I knew it, spring maps arent really all that comp. eating.

Ew.

And is that based off the real Las Vegas? Or is it just a self- created urban map? I wouldn't know, Ive never been to Las Vegas before or even seen it.

hmm I'm thinking you should try a good looking map thats not a mass of multicoloured streaming flashy looking textures. They've worked for your last few maps btu a nice ultra realistic city map is what's needed, the sort that makes use of good lighting and doesnt look tacky.

Otherwise if it's in the style of your previous maps, I guess it wont make as big an impact

The map looks great indeed. The only downside I found is that it's unplayable when reflective water is turned on (I just couldn't see a thing, though it looked even better than with normal water). And yeah, the skybox is amazing.

Yep - the Mirrored Skybox is a Problem - especially when there is green colour in it - the green Laser are still visible in the Metall Map View...
