I know there is much Dark Sand Tiles in the Ocean... and there would have been a lot of Gimmicks more - including SubSeaCitys , Industrys .. and so on. But i am just human... and sometimes tired... I ll take a little Nap from Map making...

And as Swiftspear said, LOD ruins it...

well i cut some of the planned stuff, including a Holiday Resort Iland, a Red Light District and a Underground Marketplace... the whole Building Texturing is very Difficult... and didn`t always work as expected... i also would have liked to do more SubSea Decoration... but you just don`t see them through the Water, as they are planned. (Can be seen in the Seeanemonfields)

I hope it plays well, this time everybody should have equal and enough Metall.

Top right has a disadvangte.. they start on a unbuidebole island with 2 in water deapht.

Also, please make more ramps onto islands. It's qwite imbosibole to use amfibus units or walk the commander up there right now...

Edit: Also, it's pretty darn awesome.

Trippy, just like the last one.

I like the little urban area - I spent a few hours just messing around with the buildings and AATA units, setting up defenses and then assaulting them, or creating anti-tank ambushes (a Panzerchrek infantry lying in wait...) or snipers lurking on the rooftops <_<

Anywho, good stuff. I'd like to see a full proper urban map, since that section of this map was really neat.

No.... making that little Sector was as much work, as creating whole Yilith...
i will do something desertlike now... for recreation..

Anyway, i m currently uploading the fixed version GaatkaanV2.sd7 - wich contains the Ramps Kixxe asked so badly for... some Screenshots might follow...

Well I got the screenshots working, and I must say... DOOF!
Now to be seirious. Amazing, just fucking amazing. I honestly can't belive something like this could be made in spring, it literally pushes it to the limits. You are my absolute favorite map maker, in which I didn't hesitate to say as soon as I played Yilith. I cant belive I see your maps played so little in the cilent, everyones to fucked in the head by speedmetal and altored divide nowadays. Its a shame. Some excuses I see when I ask to play this map are usually "The filesize is to big so that means its laggy!" and "Its to trippy uoir on drugs lolz" and "Its not a map you play on, its the kind you just fly aroudn and look at", which is absolute bullshit. Get off speedmetal you noobs.
Now to stop complaining about the people, and start talking abotu the maps features, I really like the Skybox, Most poeple just use some clouds, but not this. How do you make them? They are unbelivable. And another thing, where do you come up with names for you maps? Just play around with letters until you get something cool? They are very original you have to admit.
That urban area is Kick ass though, I know what you said about the difficulties, but if you were to make that into an entire map, you would be crowned "King of Uber 1337 H4x0rness", in the mapping catagory of course.

Well maybee i can combine City and Desert -- next map is viva las vegas. About the Skybox... it is a combination of Photoshop and a Max Rendering - and sometimes Clouds are better. The Green Rays mirrored in the Water, can be really disturbing in the Metall Map. Besides... Citymaps have a Problem - If you use large Crowds of Bombers, who fligh in from diffrent Sides, some come over Buildings flying high and dropping bombs, some come over the streets and drop - so if you don`t plan carefully, your bombers will kill themselfs....

And about the Names... they are just there, not knowing from when or where.

Thx Lordo for your support - could you please upload a Record of a Battle at File Universe. And maybee those people are right... the Filesize is very high..

If a person like me with 44k dial up can download 20-30mb no sweat, then these high speed guys need to stop complaining.
And sure I can try to put a battle on fileuniverse, I just need to find someone who will host a game with this map (dial up hoster=lag fest).
A Las Vegas map would be very cool, but alot of work since it will have to be quite Urban.

Picasso your maps are pretty and fun gameplay wise, however you really need to introduce some more balance to your maps! if only you would make it a bit fairer maybe people would play something other than nanoblbos on it (metal doesnt matter in teh blobs, just terrain and its got great terrain)

But i really tried to balance the metall - Every Start has the Same three Patches - and every side has additional Metallpatches, depending on the Way to the two Core Ilands in the Middle. And complete Terrain Fairness is just archiveable if you make it Symmetric...

I really try to think about every strategy possible, and the nessecary Counterstrategy.... sorry if it didn`t work out again...

No.

In the worst case it uses somewhat more video ram on the clients which could lead to a lower graphics framerate.

The simulation framerate and/or network bandwidth necessary (lag) aren't influenced at all by the size/diversity of the map.
