Imagine you have a low builder building a costly building. Then a Fark comes to help. Who will be considered the ones that's helping? Probably the Fark but we would want the other way around because the Fark is using more resources and, so, having it waste resources is more wastefull.
I was only speaking about unit production in factories...
(i dont have as much a problem with helping building buildings, as thats the native job of construction units. Building units isnt...
So the factory would always be the primary builder, and everything else assist.

you're really well thinking, but I've got another way to pull the plug on the problem:) :

what about UPGRADING factories during the game? couple of levels for each factory! i think it will make the game more attractive. Each level will give some bonuses etc.

and the second thing: sound, especially 'speech' of units - this game is... impersonal, hostile, mettalic - I mean the very first impression, which throws out some of potential players... In SC "soulful" units were the main advantage, it's the fact:). pozdr
