Ok. That is possible.Yayo01 wrote:since i want to make a *Tank Battle* mod that add 10 or 30 buildable tanks?
Yes. Unless you mean in FPS mode of course.Yayo01 wrote:and when attacking...is it possible to control 30 or 50! tanks?
planes have more complex pathing than tanks and when I use them for a build swarm I have 100 of them selected for simultaneouse control.
Speaking of "tanks mod" I was just thinking of that or Battle Tanks game for atari and thinking, you could have a mod where all players just start with a special Goliath with map wide sight range, you would have to fps your tank and take out the other guys tank.

by the way, you want a tank mod? How about Armored Typhoon, by Maestro? It would have to be ported, of course, but it has two levels: Infantry and Tanks. It would make a good mod to fight against AIs.
Like so?SinbadEV wrote:Speaking of "tanks mod" I was just thinking of that or Battle Tanks game for atari and thinking, you could have a mod where all players just start with a special Goliath with map wide sight range, you would have to fps your tank and take out the other guys tank.
Though I don't understand the "for atari" bit... the game was only for PSX and N64, and it was made by 3DO... but, given it's a rather simple name, and "Goliath" is used in basically every tank game ever... I guess I could be mistaken.

It's alot of writing unit scripts and what not. There should be a creating units tutorial on the wiki (which is honestly the best place to look if you want to learn something comprehensive like how to build a mod from the ground up), other then that you can unzip any of the current mods (such as AA) with winzip and see how they are put together. BSP and most of the other files that aren't obviously models or images can be opened with notepad so you can see what is in them and what they do.Yayo01 wrote:hmmm i c......btw how do u mod this game Anyway? :S
as it turns out, yes, I was talking about "Combat"... but incidentally there is a game called "battle tank" that exactly duplucates my idea... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Tank ... I didn't even know that before...
