Not all units showing ? no winner ?

Hello, I just started with Spring and with Balanced Annihilation, I played around 7 times and the last 2 games something odd is happening. The factories do not show all the units to build, despite the resolution chosen the font and size when a unit is selected is very big. There is not visible paging on the selection of units to build.

Also, the game is not detecting a winner, I can destroy all enemy units or be destroyed and the game doesn't ends, I have to exit the game (shift-esc)

I have the latest version of bot the spring engine and the BA game, I had not added additional units, scripts or AI.

Other games installed (Evolution, 1944) are working properly.

so.. what can be the problem ? the maps ? a error in settings (have not change anything) ?

You need to use a newer version of Spring. You are using 96.0 (which is correct for evo rts afaik) but for BA you need to use the most recent, which is 100.0.

You can get it directly from https://springrts.com/wiki/Download, which is imo easiest, or you can try to figure out how to tell your existing lobby to download it.

There might also be a problem with the map, I'm not sure - try a different one if you still have issues with 100.0, and if so make a new infolog.

Thank you, I'll check it out. I'll try from the lobby since using Steam for Linux was the only (simple) way to install Spring.

... ok.. downloading from the lobby returns a fail and it actually downloads 6 different 100 engines. So I went to the link you gave and downloaded and installed the engine manually. Deleted the others which didn't run/start a game. But.. this one doesn't starts a game either, the log file is not changed since it doesn't starts a game or gives out any error.

Maybe you are not using a lobby with your new install? You'll still need to start Spring from within a lobby.

I do, it's the Web Lobby, I can select which engine to use, shows the previous 96 and the new 100. I can also view/change the settings from the lobby.

Just join a BA host. The engine will be downloaded automatically.

:) no luck yet, no wonder people use the 'Steam' version of 'Evolution' to install the engine on Linux. Will keep at it, or will try an older version of BA to use with the v.96 engine.
