release candidate for 96.0!

96.0 is mostly a bugfix-release, this is why changelog is smaller than for 95.0.

one point is discussable:
- "nugget" is hereby officially promoted as the new umbrella term for widget or gadget

If you find a bugs, please report to Mantis.

Please attach infolog.txt as file, if you crash!

maybe as note: if no major bug is found i'll tag 96.0 on 25.12. and make it default version on lobby server one week later if no major/blocking bug is found.

What is a nugget? luarules and luaui are no longer relevant? Does unsynced space have some sort of merger with lua ui?

A minor thing, but when spring has loaded a game, it puts a marker at (0,0), so if you press F3 at gamestart you will be brought there.

it doesn't make sense, when I tested the version, it worked. I looked at all the files and it seems like they have not been altered.

Nugget is to be used in place of wupget? Sounds good to me. Always made me double take when knorke used that term.

I'll update all my evo hosts to this post haste and test it asap.

It's AddOn, jk wrote the new handler, he gets to choose. Must we really make a drama out of everything. :roll:

i'll test it today as well

about the naming thing, why not use zerver's suggestion from the old thread and call the parent category "LuaModule", or LuaAddon

(can widgets and gadgets use anything other than lua?)

EDIT: played on it against AI, and it worked
- the mem leak issue seems fixed
- i also got the "laser go through units after unloaded from transport" that i don't get in spring 95.0

I have no idea what the issue is jamerlan you should in the future try to work with a BA dev. It goes engine->content dev->player

You posted something potential linked to your BA setup this is not yet an issue for the engine devs!

I think it's engine bug. It's possible to build 100 units in place of 1 unit. Why it's not engine bug?

added a bunch of issues to mantis, low priority stuff

0004232 aircraft gunships "snap" instantly to horizontal position when ordered to stop after attacking
0004231 new unitdef : hoverRange (for gunships and construction aircraft)
0004230 new unitdef : airStrafeIntensity and maybe airStrafeFreqMod
0004229 airStrafe should apply to construction aircraft
0004228 hovering aircraft get "deactivated" mid air while not idle

would be nice to have 4228 fixed though

Btw, addon is a bit generic. It would have been better to just rename everything to "widget", because it's understood outside this community too. Lua widgets, easy. Now we've gone with addon, it's just a name, no big deal anyway.

Are there any addons yet? AFAIK everybody is still writing widgets and gadgets.
