You can test BAR through rapid. They are included in it.

Yes, Beherith... what's the command line or whatever?

Also... is there any way to do it from within a lobby?

In your spring directory there is subdirectory called 'rapid'. Inside there, run rapidgui.exe. Once it's loaded up, scroll though the left hand pane to find "Balanced Annihilation Reloaded" and you can download the latest test version of BAR, which spring.exe (or your lobby client in single player mode) will then recognise as a mod.

BAR is not complete yet, so the models not all replaced and there are some bugs. But you can get a good preview of what's to come :)

There is no other method available at the moment. Unless you know how to use an svn client, in which case direct it to http://imolarpg.dyndns.org/svn/branches.

I suggest you try and 'fix' rapidgui or explain what the problem with it is. It will take a long time on its first load if you've never used it before.

I have set up a proxy and download and run the game. I can say that i like the old model. my personal opinion. ideal model is the fraction UEF from supreme commander 1. facilities are excellent!!!
I would add details and did not change the design completely. or change the model in one by one. looked at the reaction of society.

One more way is to download it as a zip, extract it, copy the BAR folder into Spring/games and rename it BAR.sdd. or you could rearchive the contents of the BAR folder into an .sd7/.sdz
