Step-by-Step Instructions?

I'm new to all of this and am having trouble getting this game to run.I have installed the spring game engine and lobby and have downloaded a game but it is never recognized by the engine. I would prefer some clear, concise, step-by-step instructions on how to install and get XTA running on the spring engine. I would appreciate your help.

what version of xta u downloaded ? after latest engine update older versions of games/mods are not recognized by the engine.

What's your Operating System? Windows or Linux?

Yes, these are not XTA but GRTS & KP, but after all I'm not sure you even knew there's more Spring games than just TA mashups.

And even if after trying them you decide you really want XTA, at least you'll have a tested Spring install to drop XTA into. (in /mods/)

Do as zwzsg suggest, then get latest XTA here:

(online people usually play some beta versions but they will give you link in chat)

Next you will probally want maps.
