Steam is only good for small stuff like specials, I bought CS:S for 5Ôé¼ which was totally worth it for me, or an original of cod4 for 14Ôé¼.

For full price games I would buy the hard copy, even if its a steam game amazon will have that game 10-20% cheaper than steam.

Steam seems to not calculate dollar prices into euros but just take the dollar price and write Ôé¼ behind it.
Black ops is 60Ôé¼ on steam which is a ROFL price, amazon has it for ~40.

But overall Im a fan of steam when it comes to multiplayer FPS games that wont work anyways if you have no internet connection.

The thing is I bought a lot of source engine stuff separately so that I probably could have bought a whole pack.
DoD:S is also good and I own that too.
But I would like it to have the weapon handling CoD2 somehow.
CS:S is perfect without aiming down the sights but dods is somehow a hybrid between cs and cod.

Lol.
Description of Sam & Max 203: Night of the Raving Dead:

Zombie attack! Droves of undead are converging in the streets. Now Sam & Max must confront their leader - a Eurotrash vampire with a style all his own. Are the Freelance Police cool enough to outsmart this emo before his flesh-eating army usurps the western world?

But I'm looking at HL2's AMAZINGLY CHEAP PRICE.
You look? YOU DO NOT OWN? SRSLY, Sir, this sounds unbelievable.
My computer is crap so I'm always playing games late. (Hell I can't even play BA on Spring anymore..) And I want the Source SDK for all the fancy mods too.

The publisher can set the price, some just change the currency sign, others actually convert. Big name retail games have to show up on Steam at the MSRP or retailers will throw a hissyfit. Indie games have more leeway (games like Shattered Horizon, Lead & Gold, Swords & Soldiers, AI War Fleet Command, Zombie Driver, Foreign Legion, etc are more expensive at retail).

it seems that dawn of war 2 is pretty lame as a strategy game(just my opinion don't asplode) I thought dow was bad but 2 is just lame. I do like the last stand mode. Pity there is no customization to it.

It's not really a classic startegy game...its more a mix of rpg/tactical rts.
There is no base building.just abilities and different troops.

You mean modding or something else?

I made something roughly similar to DoW2's MP in The Cuberor's Finest.

I also just bought shattered horizon, turns out i have one guess pass for DoD and 3 for shattered horizon. If anyone wants to check these games out with me. send me a message on steam.

To be fair that would be another enforcement nightmare. CoD BlOps already has trouble with keeping the people from slapping swastikas on their profiles.

Its the same priciple as company of heroes but I never played that a lot because I couldnt see what I was doing wrong.
Its frustrating like the old Z game.

If I own a game and I play it online 10 times total something is wrong.

I am unfamiliar with the game but you have left yourself open for an obvious "Of course there is something wrong, but it is wrong with you, not with the game."... Just wanted to be the one to jump on it.

I played AI War online exactly once, still got 60+ hours out of it so far and still climbing.

I played the hell out of Shattered Horizon on the free weekend. It's pretty good, but has some flaws in execution... for example, the fact that they wanted a hard realistic appearance means that the game is pretty drab and ugly, despite its high hardware requirements. The grenades are underexplained and inscrutable, listed with a bunch of TLAs. The magnet boots are flaky as hell. And the designers seem obsessed with using as many keys on the keyboard as possible. The objectives modes are often a little unclear.

That said, it's unique... and it's so utterly mindbending that it's absolutely a great time, and definitely worth putting some time into. It's fantastic fun.
