If you make a starship troopers game you need to base the mobile infantry on those described in the book not the movies...

apparently theAnime version does a better job of depicting the combat armour... but I haven't seen it.

not exactly making a Heinlein game. just giving Contact's marines bugs to shoot at. I am planning on adding power armor and larger mechs eventually. if it goes well I'll also make a "singularity" game mode... think terminator/ matrix/ rifts (mechanoids)

Here is a rhino: I'd like to make it look better. It doesn't feel right. I want it charge with a impulse weapon, make people fly maybe?

also head crab! need to find a way to attach them to certain units heads to munch on brains

Load them onto the head piece?

And yeeeees, headcrabs that actually convert people! One of the few things that saddens me about HL2 is how that doesn't happen :(

@bobthedinosaur

Ahh, yeah, I loved how Newton Ewell took Siembeda's teenaged scribblings of Mechanoid bots and made them into hyper-sexy designs. Shows how talented he is that he could make that kind of art out of such a base.

I like the new look. It looks more like a surface, and less washed out.

A christmas card I've been working on: http://transimpex.com/cards/email.html << this is a tiny version, the real one will be printed out on a small page size poster thingy (the "real" one also wouldn't have a background or the rounded edges/glow on the border, I just made this one look pretty for web purposes)

If i was a client i wouldnt want to get such a long greeting.
Id like to get a greeting but with a feel of personal touch and i dont want it to be long and take 10 minuts to read...

You need to give an impression that there is a true connection between you and the client and its not some generated card and it needs to give the impression fast and in a nice way.

Ya well, tell that to the people writing the crap. I'm only designing it, and it isn't generated.

In other words, out of my control.

Compare to the fail that was sent out in 2004 as a pdf:
