Those were my favorite TA maps. :(
Problem is we don't have a way of making lava feel realistic.There is only the water shader but it does not fit lava.

Take a look at mercury_v1 with bumpwater on, its the closest one can get. Or just fast forward the game to 13 minutes on that map :)

why dont you just take the OTA lava texture and use it as water texture with zero transparency? oh wait, some people use bumpmapped water etc that fucks everything up :regret:

no just dl the map and press + a bunch

the eruption is pretty sweet, could also be used for a geyser effect, but is not damaging to units which i thought odd

the lava water looks good but i have some ideas...does a negative waterabsorb value work to make the deeper water brighter?

if not, it should! watermincolor and watersurfacecolor should just mark the colors of shallow and deep water instead of watermincolor specifying the "darkest" the water can be, because what if we want deep water to be bright lava?

what i'd want is something like
watersurfacecolor = 1 0 0
watermincolor = 1 1 0.8
waterabsorb = 0 -0.01 -0.005

so shallow lava is pure red, and deeper lava turns to a bright yellow/almost white over gradient.

this would be combined with a very light sand texture for everywhere underwater (underlava?) with NO lightbaking at all
