Is that MapMaker actually useful for someone? If so I can update that thing if someone tells me which options should be added and where to find the "best" mapconv.
I could even rename it while I am at it :mrgreen: Sorry I was young and innocent.

It would be imo, but then I've not tried my hand at mapmaking.

Behe's latest version of mapconv can be found in this thread:

Seems like a UI would help, especially if it had some 'quality level' presets.

This is something I'm trying, (I learned radio buttons 8) ), but there seem to be an inordinate number of options and Beherith only provided two examples, so it could be some time.

Its C++ in Visual Studio using MFC. If I had to reimplement it I would go for C# nowadays though.

@Flozi:
Yay thanks for the link. I will take a look at it at some point.

Sorry, Bruce, you haven't been in lobby much of late and I wasn't certain you were paying attention. :cry:

Well I'm in Auckland and my computer is in Dunedin, so I'm having to use my parents. Needless to say it isn't a blisteringly fast setup. Will probably remain here until late February.

Yeah of course, feel free to do whatever you want with it. I just noticed I even renamed that thing to "Spring MapMaker" some time ago but I obviously forgot to release... :roll:

EDIT: Well, one thing is missing in the zip, its the Ini_file_cpp. Sorry I cannot release it for legal reasons, I "borrowed" it myself :). It contains trivial functions to read and write windows ini-files (the header is still there). I am sure you can easily find an alternative implementation or change the whole save/load-stuff to a more modern and portable file format.
