btw forb I am not taking away any of the type maps, that is part of what the players like, not my place to take that away. However, that doesn't mean I cannot include an option for it buddy

Ive got some bad news. The texture attached by Ice in the previous file is not the original. It has already gone through mapconv, the compression artifacts are highly visible on it

That's only partially true. The only place any artifacting is visible is on the sea floor. Smoth is enough of a PS expert to mitigate that really easily.Beherith wrote:Ive got some bad news. I (maybe) have some good news!
I did found a bryce install on my old pc, and it does have some files from deltasiege. I dunno if i have the highquality heightmap, have to check/start bryce. I will as soon as possible.
If the heightmap is somewhere... i probably can make new renders, with new materials.. and optionally, edit them in PS, for example a snow map.
In case this works.. what kinda texture map does the community want? snow the number1 favourite? Or dry/stone/desert? or alien? or moon? or? Just gimme the best idea, and i'll try to make it!

Actually, I love the old texture, it looks very awesome. Snow will be achieved through lighting anyway.

Don't comment on stuff your totally clueless about.
