Beta Release for TA:WD?

Post by GrOuNd_ZeRo »

I am still tweaking WD weapons, they most likely will all be models, at the very least the aircraft guns and rockets.

Otherwise I can release quite soon! would you like a Beta release soon?

well, faster beta-releases mean faster input and bug-finding, so I would support beta releases (not for every small little version though)

I've replied "No, Better to wait with it." But it's certainly because I'm not a fan of WD :?
Or perhaps, say that's just a testing release and the goal is to correct bug and not to play.

Hear Hear! it would actually be bad if the WD fan-base became divided between those who prefer latest beta and latest full version...

GrOuNd_ZeRo, do whatever motivates you to work more on the project! So if releasing a Beta does that for you, go 4 it.

Maestro, there are a few ways to play simple games.

JCAI supports WD, the only thing that is needed is a decent AI profile for it....

Random Enemies, I made a script for it, it's not very survivable but it gives the player a good chance to play...

I will release a Beta soon, just making sure all the embarrasing bugs are gone...

Add my sounds please, I know it's probably easy to do myself but I'm no Windows user and I know little about the file structures inside the mod packages.

Also please release it in zip format, I understand Spring supports zip and that will make your mod usable for testing the Linux port.
7-Zip has big problems under Linux plain zip works like a charm.
