Than TA mods should not be allowed to be played on the spring server as of right now.
You allow ta mods to be played on the server but do not allow a link to their installer?

You cannot stop people sharing copyrighted files through torrents with each other.

Same thing yet Torrent clients and torrent trackers are not the ones putting the files up. The users do that.

the engine download page doesn't feature my project, and I have spent near 5 years on it. I do not want it there either because my project is not independent ip.

Regret/Yan, you seem to think I have something against TA. I don't I have something against the stolen content, I always have. That doesn't mean I don't like Ta, I was watching xta videos when I was pulling down those changes to the download page.

it is the spring engine download page, as such it should be where you get the engine and some stuff to showcase the engine. The pack however was "coolest maps and all the major TA mods." Ta should not be distributed on the page with the engine, that doesn't mean I think it shouldn't exist.

Nor does that mean that the devs are going to keep the the ta based mods from being played. The official stance seems to be that they are not going to openly acknowledge it and try to leave it alone. You are making a huge scene over nothing.

I know you opinions and those i haven't actually seen you type about i can guess quit easily.
Also if you expect some friendly communication stop calling me yan,as i have asked before.

This whole thing started with free IP projects.
At the time it was said they are worried about spring but obviously,even if they didn't admit it to themselves,they were thinking of their own agenda and projects since spring is at no danger from being in contact with TA material.

If you do not want Gundam here that's your business and IMO your either deluding yourself or just being silly since its obvious you want it to be played and there is no practical reason nor a real moral one to not linking to your project from the spring website.

I don't personally gain anything if TA mods or maps are linked to form the website since i know how the system works i just know that it will make it a bit easier for newbies to get a game going.

And again i asked about this issue and made my intentions clear.
The fact that there is no way of properly communicating with all devs and there is no proper managing or assigning of roles inside the project
or stated guidelines about how everything is to be managed is a real shame and this lack of proper organization is evident throughout the project.

The ta projects are not yours, so how is it your business, nor have you done any real work on them.

What do you know about software development or project management to tell others how to do it?

Spring is an open source project, a lot of open source developers do have morals and try to take the high road. If they come here looking to check out the engine and see a big pirated pile of content posted with the engine downloads it is likely to drive them away. Indeed I have seen this personally, so I support it being swept under the rug.

and aegis is speaking on behalf of the developers yan, it is in writing, right there above this post. The answer is no you may not..

because I am trying to offer true reasons why I was doing that. So it does not seem(incorrectly so) that I am doing this for any motive other than it was the stance and I took up the effort voluntarily to support said stance because I believe in it.

You were upset because it seemed to me you wanted an explanation why it was pulled off the download page.

The downloader can still go on the games page. hell make a cool spot right above the ta mods.

Gota, nice one on the installer, we do need a one click installer for the most played stuff out there, even if it has to be hosted on hosts less responsive to moderation.
