But it's true. And it's always been true, and we haven't been saying that because we're stupid. When you chose to abandon this, you made a huge mistake, frankly. I almost ended up making a TD variant for P.U.R.E. because of the perceived want value and the really easy Lua involved, but I ended up coding Merc Squad instead.

At any rate, cry if you wanna. I'm just saying things that are facts. And yes, I'll leave you alone now, I'm really not wanting to have another flame war with you, I'm just saying something really honest here.

So you are going to talk hollow shit because of what? I am not going to start some oh look my shit gets played argument with you, both of our projects are on the lower end of the player base. It would be like arguing over who gets table scraps and the fact that you want to argue over them makes for poor conversation.

if you wanted to do TD you would have done it already. Whatever, you have not. You instead developed pure, which is IMO where your head should have been. So don't act like you would have had the time to do it, your time has been entirely dedicated to your project. It is just hollow words with no substance.

Frankly you can think I made a mistake, but I worked on gundam and that is what I wanted to see happen. Just like you wanted to see pure happen. Argue all you want, that is the real truth. TD will get done some time and it is being worked on but to say that you would drop pure to make some side project that has been done 1000 times in flash and other games, you are full of crap. You pride yourself on PURE and you are trying to do some different stuff, I sincerely doubt that you would go and make something as shallow as td. Go ahead prove me wrong, it is the only thing I respect about you.

I know I put your knickers in a knot, but frankly I don't care. You can sputter and rage all you want. Just don't bullshit me, I am not dumb enough to think for one second that you would have the time to do anything other than pure.

Even if it's true (and it is), it's kind of a dick thing to say. Smoth isn't stupid, he's well aware of the fact that he'd get 100x the player-base for a tenth the work for TD.

of course, but unlike argh I do not do this to compensate for some sort of void in my self esteem. I do it because I find joy in making stuff. I don't want to be famous, I don't want to be a well known guy. I want to make fun stuff and keep making it.

Is this solo or cooperative, or can it be both? Friend and I are following this semi-closely. :-)

The idea was a simple solo game. People can play it together but it is really meant to be singleplayer.



The hopes are that people will continue from the base we are building and those people will take it and make new stuff. All I am going to do after the release of td is maintain a core file occasionally adding in modules from the community as you guys make them.

Well, if it can be launched as a standard mod from the lobby, wouldn't it be possible to play it as a commshare game even if you had no ally support at all?

You could integrate TheFatController's co-op system really easily I would assume, and it could be win.
