That argument is a dangerous slippery slope though. Noobs might not know that the bertha shot means there base is getting shelled, so should an annoying warning be made for that? Newbs might not know that fast moving radar dots incoming means that bombers are going to attack your base, so we need a warning for that. as i said, mainly for noobs who are wondering where their base disappeared to while they're looking over the other side of the map and come back to find a crater. because i've been in that situation and been stumped as to why my base is gone. did it get nuked, did someone combomb me, did a fusion explode and take out my base, etc?
There comes a point where you just have to chock it up to learning the game, you can only babysit new players so much, and really, you only should. That particular problem is as easy solved by a tips system like CA has, or a tutorial, that way everyone else wouldn't have to be annoyed by a klaxon.
