heheh what caused their omission? back on topic, stormsiege_v4 is pretty much ready to get released, perhaps tonight...
-fixed the mex graphics... now they are... sort of triangular... a bit like the rims you see on an early 90s geo metro.
-fixed the road graphics. they are now similar in texture to the rocky hills, and contrast a lot less with the rest of the map... i also changed the texture of the big muddy areas to fit with the theme.
-inserted the metal spot i missed the first time around, that cheeky bugger.
still to do:
-adjustment of the SMD for lighting / ambience.
-possibly add preshadowing to greater convey the relative heights of the hills and terrain.

How about making the Dirtroads only as two Darkend Tiretrails? They just dont fit in were they go over the Rock.. or make the off smashed, small stones.. otherwise nice Map

watched some nice romps last night on this map...
unfortunately i couldn't partake as i had a guest over, but i liked the gameplay that i saw, and everyone seemed to enjoy the map although the concensus from some of the veteran players was that it's a bit thin.
oh wells... releasing the "re-skin" tonight i think, the roads are much more subtle and the dirt areas are gone.... so it's time to finalize.
also... a duo version is possibly in the works.
again, thanks everyone for all of the kind comments and suggestions! after all, im making maps for everyone to enjoy, makes me warm and fuzzy inside when i have a success!
ps. thanks so much exe-rs for uploading my map, didn't even realize it was on there, a very pleasant surprise.

I keep the chicken widget on ALL THE TIME cause it looks pretty and the map clashes with the purple!!!1!1!1!!! Same with nubtron and same with nametags! I also know that you're zerggin's smurf and so I blame you for nested menus and lockcamera too!!1!1!!
On a (dubiously) related note: great map! Can't wait to play v4!

Looks fantastic - stick a fork in it, it's done. If you want to keep playing with it, just make new variants (a double-one, a deluxe-size one, one with added geotherms and a green monochrome palette-swap for KP)... but call it done and move on.

Sorry I didn't see that you said that already. Although I was half joking since the map itself is so obviously suited to be mirrored, which I'd love to see in full 16x16.
