SATIRIK DID NOT DO THIS TO AEGIS
lurker wrote:And some people need to read my post more clearly, too; when I said 'that error', the last error referred to was a bug with start position boxes, and that is the one I meant.
The error aegis had was the error Wisse had been bugging satirik about, the one with start position boxes.

Ahh, so, there's bug with start position boxes too?

I had springlobby sometimes get different ordering of players in game than tasclient, all of sudden happening since week or so ago. Which is rather horrible. Before all autohosts started using dedicated server, it was not possible for satirik to anyhow mess with player ordering in tasclient, as if he would, people would be unable to play on autohosts. Now situation is much worse - when ordering of players changes in tasclient we can do nothing but look into source and replicate the WTFness in springlobby.
Good thing next spring version should fix that whole thing engine side before it gets real ugly.

Has been forever, most annoying thing ever, but I think he fixed it in the latest update.

Oh I'm sry for misunderstanding you than. So I was in fact the only one affected.

I think that minimap bug was 100% reproducible on EVERY PC at the time. I'm quite sure of it and so was I back then.

It should be fixed by now tho.

I've updated Spring and got new TASClient with it. After running it I got same "youradick.exe" errors again. Old disable trick didn't work, which means he bothered to write new hook for new version. I managed to bypass it, but cmon, how long is this gonna last?

You're a rly sad geek Satirik. Internet is ur safe zone where you can just hide behind ur ip and do what you want without any consequences. You don't even bother to come clean with me on this one. I recommend you try real life sometimes, where your feelings will get hurt far beyond being called a dick. In the meantime you can sulk about what I said in comforting light of ur monitor.

I just don't want this moronic shit to go any further than errors, because as others said I could get malware on my PC or maybe HDD formatted.

You didn't hide behind an IP to be insulting.

Obviously, YOU're smarter than him and HE should come to apologize.

Really should've kicked the program out of the installer then.

How many messengers does he need to send ffs? I'm quite willing to talk to him, but I haven't seen any response yet. Ignoring me won't do. I'm not gonna apologize in thin air (or bits for that matter) because I have few things to talk about first.

the dude's a dick, I thought he was alright until the second time he trolled me in pm. I don't know, TASClient is a neat lobby and all but I don't want to be subject to some douche who would do this either. I think I am moving back to springlobby and will tell the people who install spring for gundam to do the same.

interesting :) you bypassed it ... nice !!! even if your HDD can be formatted ? you still try to use it when you could just use SpringLobby, you're a HUGE TASClient fanboy !!

don't forget to pm me on the lobby to tell me how you did, i'd like to know and i promise, you won't get that error anymore, unless you insult me again :)

and yeah i added special code to ban wisse from tasclient and if you want to remove tasclient from the installer ... just go ahead, i really don't mind

this thread makes me lol

I must agree, though, that that trolling through an application used by many other people is simply unacceptable. does the New York Ttimes send the employees of the Washington post doctored newspapers? I don't think so.

I swear, you coders have even sillier drama than the content people.

Satirik, ffs, be a grownup, otherwise I'll be forced to ... gulp... introduce new players of P.U.R.E., who've never heard of Spring... to SpringLobby's UI. Think of the children!

Locked. The original lack of clarity regarding the situation is now absent, and this discussion is not going to go anywhere constructive. The licensing (and behaviour) issues behind this will be discussed elsewhere.
