The current binary of tasclient appears to be more up to date than the latest svn commit, and has new features that haven't had all the bugs worked out.
One of these apparently can cause it to fail to load the correct error message, making it difficult to discern the underlying reason for for the message. Instead, a less informative message is given, "Access violation at address 00734BBF in module "youradick.exe". Read of address 00000068."
I therefore request the source code for the current binary so that I can try to find the bug causing this.

Hmm, somehow I skimmed over the phrase 'infamous remark'.

I can tell you what happened.
I called Satirik a dick. He got mad and made special lobby that kept poping up "access denied youradick.exe..." errors for me and aegis.
Since I forgot about my lil conversation with Satirik, where he warned me that I should move to other lobby, I assumed that there's a virus on my PC at first. When I felt confident enough that it's not my PC, I asked lurker for his judgment, before I went blaming Satirik. He wanted to check source, but it was not available for obvious reason.
I managed to turn errors off, but I'm not sure if I should update ever again since Satirik isn't commenting on this :D
I have no idea what last few posts all about tho. I guess it has something to do with different revisions in /websvn and /svn.

TASClient should not go in the installer if there's any evidence at all that the most recent source isn't published yet.

@clericvash: I don't agree with u here. I still prefer his lobby and I think that this prank was rather harmless. I just hope that he removed it from next revision because it wasn't that big of an argument (calling him a dick was actually in a context hehe).

Prank or not, it's pretty bad taste to release OS software that isn't OS and has unknowns hidden in the code, harmless or not?
Whats to prevent him from telling it to silently dl a trojan, or to tell it to execute a sub7 sort of thing form somewhere. I understand that he prolly intended it just as a fuck off sort of joke, but the fact that he DID do it is pretty troubling, especially when failclient has access to a lot of things. What's next? A keylogger for people he doesn't like? Where does it stop?
Regardless, bad form, just bad.
Edit: I should point out that failclient is still the easiest lobby to use. Springlobby made me want to cut myself when I tried to use it recently. THe interface is unintuitive and going to one thing cuts me off from the chat, switching maps is more of a pain cause you can't see the chat, and a host of other things like that. They have done good work, but it still needs a lot of tweaking to rival the ... useability of failclient.
