I hate people dropping out. Have not had much trouble with slowdowns, except for ridiculously big games. Use !votekick on autohosts, ask the host on hosts. If it runs slower by the setting.. how the hell don't you notice, if you're annoyed by it. If you suspect, press +,- to see the speed.
Play smaller games, 1v1,2v2, they are cooler and more challenging. Play with people you know have fast enough cpus.

If you suspect, just hit 'I'. It'll either be something like .763, meaning cpu slowdown, a number like .8 meaning someone bumped the wrong button, or it'll be 1.0 and you should get more rest. (That or you mixed up CA and XTA)
Re: Gamespeed
Because you tend to get sucked into the game it's not that simple. I can play a slow game for quite some time without noticing, and when I finally do so the damage is already done.Jasper1984 wrote:If it runs slower by the setting.. how the hell don't you notice, if you're annoyed by it. U can also press 'b' to see the gamespeed.

Re: Gamespeed
Didn't we came to the conclusion its better to force players to manually kick slow clients if they feel annoyed?
And zerver, please improve you commit so it doesn't add redunant variables to the gameserver. Pings and CPUusages are already tracked in the GameParticipant - variables.

Re: Gamespeed
OK. You can turn it off via configHandler "EnforceGameSpeed".
By the way, the fact that "SpringMark" popped up some time ago suggests that I'm not the only one who dislikes slow games. Whether these changes I made are a good solution to the problem remains to be seen.
