Better NAT handling for Springlobby

Post by 10053r »

Would it be possible to make it so that springlobby could automatically detect if the host is located inside the NAT that the client is in? I think some clever pinging combined with the host posting both the internal and external ip addresses could make it work. Then I could host games and have people at my house play on other computers. :)

Could you not update your router to allow the ports for spring, or just put yourself in the DMZ?

this should be automatically handled by the server... I've made a note of it. (uberserver will override NAT if both client and host are on the same IP)

unless I'm missing something
