SpringLobby performance actually increased by a huge amount recently, and it's also fairly stable for me. No random crashes at least, only some features that I know will crash when I touch them occasionally :-)

Only thing it can't manage yet is CommitBot spam in #news when hoijui merges trunk in his branch :P (well it didn't crash or timeout it just didn't respond for a few minutes :-))

I know both of these are needed together and that a good lobby has them all, but if pushed to develop the lobby further which direction should take priority?

In other words which area do you guys want to see more of in future lobbies/lobby releases Features and options or sfx and usability?

I already implemented lots of features tasclient didn't have as did springlobby and you copied. Features are easy to do, its doing them well that counts.

In the meantime:

You may not talk about him, you may not critique him or his work, you may not post in his threads unless the posts are the most platonic and inoffensive posts I've ever seen any springer make in any threads. He will be following the same rules. If you have any questions feel free to ask, but I prefer this way then to banning you both... We both know I can't let this go on any longer.

Easy to use for me; who wants a Vista lobby? (I.E alot of stuff but most of them useless and clutters your view)

Is there anything in particular people want in terms of graphics then?

Mai graphics :P just kidding. (which also means customizable skins)

Maybe Vista-like graphics...

What do you mean by "graphics" btw?

All i want is a modern looking, crisp and uncluttered lobby with features designed for me as a gamer.

Downloading Maps & Mods
Chat
Friends List (with pm'ing and clans)
Settings
Battle List (obviously with joining and creating)

And that is about all that is needed, if i have missed anything else that is a must have well i dunno?

By graphics I mean somethign that does not look like a bog standard windows application with a handful of fancy colours and buttons shunted into it, sort of like what the games bought at the store look like, full screen and full of graphical effects, animation, transitions etc.

if you have it full screen, have a window-mode as well please. i prefer window mode, as i can do other stuff while waiting for mates, or sometimes i just want to sit in #sy and not game at all, but use the browser occasionally, or my IDE. i guess many would like it, but if there was a stylish, feature rich fullscreen lobby, and an ugl,y basic one with window mode, i would use the later.

I want something that looks like a bog standard Windows application, preferably with all graphics changeable (toolbar icons, status icons etc, NOT parts of the window)

When every application wants to do its own thing, it just ends up confusing for the user. Most people run their lobby clients in the background and animations would be distracting too.

Also I would prioritize features over ease of use

Why would you consider any of these for a lobby client?
