New map - Hells Pass

Post by mufdvr222 »

For want of a better name,, is about ready, here is a link if anyone is interested in giving it a bash.
The mountains running across the map are terrain typed "void" to force ground units through the pass.

No actually that would eb the same as hell has pass, which isnt the same, I think if any apostrophe is needed it would be hells' pass.

Nice map though.

No, it is an appropriary apostrophe, showing belonging. As in "Jane's shoes" or "the dog's bone". It shows that the "pass" belongs to "hell".

Should hell be some sort of grouping such as "people" as in "peoples' republic", or where the previous word ends in an s, such as "the missus' cat". It is a dying rule though, and you'll rarely see signage using it correctly these days.

Clearly it's Hell's Pass, cause hell owns the pass, well, they would if they were a team, because their basic infantry unit would be like a Pyro, which would kick ass.

Sorry, i'm bored.

Well, talking about gameplay, not spelling :) :
Well, that pass really looks nasty. especially with blocking wreckage and those small hills look like the give great defensive positions...

So i guess this map will result in an air only battle most of the time :(

Since when were sumos transportable? Is this just XTA?

Man, the whole point of sumos is that they are practically a crawling moving fortress; making them transportable would completely unbalance them...

Hey warlord, EVERYTHING that has legs is transportable in XTA, even krogoths (talk about unbalance goes here :D )....

Yes its OTA for me or nothing, I never found wreckage to be much of a problem on maps like this, shure it builds up but its also falling in the middle of a fire zone in the pass area and is usually cleared away in short order by fire from all the other units that are blasting away there.

I'll do it then. I'll edit this post when I get it uploaded.

Too bad it wasn't 111 items later ;)

You can upload more screenshots yourself.
