Re: CA X BA discussion

BA core same units on BA players faiv map
Re: CA X BA discussion
Guess now i wont have to make that tough choice between arm and core.
Re: CA X BA discussion
Yeah, Core looks modern and Arm looks like... hurm... 1997. I don't think the outliner does the units any favours, however, Other.
Re: CA X BA discussion
Zoomed out, the outliner looks awesome, but then again, i love cartoony games.
Re: CA X BA discussion
The outline looks cool, but makes units lose their 3d fell...

Time is a logarithmic scale i presume? If it is not, it is a fatal flaw in understanding how things like this work. Also, the graph does not show the end of growth. If you play without enemies (just globaltestai thingy) and expand as hard as you can, you can see that the growth is indeed approximately exponential for a long while, i would expect it to be exponential with a growth based on mexes first, and then growth based on metal makers, until, finally the entire map is filled with fusions and metal makers.(But that is doing the experiment to the extreme.)Otherside wrote:
Excuse me.. but metal making economy is way too slow to be useful as a tactic. Beside the slowness of it causing growth, the actual metal maker buildings are also easily destroyed. And tech two is not overpowered, in any most games there are plenty of t1 battles before t2, and in good 1v1 games t2 is often not even reached.
Re: CA X BA discussion

That is assuming nobody stops you from getting all the metal spots you want... if somebody does so, its often more efficient to chage to mm economy than to try to knock then off their hill...Jasper1984 wrote: Excuse me.. but metal making economy is way too slow to be useful as a tactic. There are plenty of battles before somebody hits tech 2 and wins the game :) Really BA games have their outcome largely decided by knowing the right time of teching up, what I find utterly dull.
