Re: Random WIP
Those things on the side look like they should carry troops, or if you go a scale up, carry simple little dropship pods that clip on the side and hold lots of infantry.
Consider:

Re: Random WIP
Yeah, that's sort of what I'm saying.
Imagine you have a bunch of little attachment pods that all look the same, that clip onto those side latches ('dock').
So, the troops live inside the ship, then the ship is deployed to a planet, and the troops all head into those little side pods, which detach and ferry troops down to the planet surface for an invasion. The cool thing here is that you design the pods so that they look cool when attached to the ship. I'm thinking maybe cylinders laying on their side?

Re: Random WIP

Invasion site, Xenon commander (alien race) the 3 round holes around it are gravity manipulators, allowing it to fly!, not completely done yet, the tube in the middle will be a missile launcher

Re: Random WIP
Set up normals (edge hardness) and don't use the smoth button
Re: Random WIP
why? what do they do?rattle wrote:Set up normals (edge hardness)
Re: Random WIP
Fake hardness/roundness, especially on low polygon models.
Re: Random WIP
but why would i want edges to be hard in my model? becaus it has to look roundZpock wrote:Soft edges vs hard edges:
