iirc Commander successfully build springlobby on his mac. I don't remember if he tried out springsettings though, but it should work as long as unitsync works properly. You would have to ask Commander or try it yourself. If any problems arise stop by #springlobby in the client or #springlobby @ freenode on irc (conversation is relayed between these two).

I want to add a tab for ctrlpanel.txt in springsettings
most of it seems self explanatory, but could some eleborate on fillOrder and selectThrough?
if everything is commented out in the file, is the layout is determined by the mod?
you can load a spefic file from ingame chat via "/ctrlpanel filename" is there also switch for spring startup?

Stuff that is commented out is the "hard coded" default. If you want to change things, you need to uncomment stuff.

fillOrder, prevPageSlot, deadIconSlot and nextPageSlot are all ignored if LuaUI is enabled. They're still in the /LuaUI/ctrlpanel.txt file, not very self explanatory.
If you want to figure out what fillOrder does try experimenting with it after disabling LuaUI. It basically changes in which order you get the orders/build icons.

Also, shouldn't ground decals have a (slow) in their description too? Here it's a *much* worse FPS hit than shadows are later in the game.

Oh wait, it was still set to 40 for some mysterious reason, despite the maximum setting being 1... No wonder it was slow then.

if you get me something that is actually usable as 16x16 icon I'll use it. That pretty 600x600 png is almost half empty which results in about 8x8 pixels being of informative value (or not). Read: resizing that png leads to something reddish with a yellow blob in the center

Dunno what you are using to resize it... BTW 64x64 icon ftw (so It looks nice in vista). Because this looks fine.

Speaking of official icons can we get rid of that ugly blue border? Just bevel it or something, that blue border looks like crap

correct me if i'm wrong/missed something, but shouldn't "official icons" be a) actually icons and not 600x600 images and b) in spring svn with sources?
I mean I'm no graphics wizard and just tried what resizing options gimp gave me, but isn't the point of an "official icon set" that i wouldn't even have to do that?

Er... to quell this, perhaps somebody could just tell me what the "official sizes" should be, and I could just, er, make them in a few minutes? It's not like resizing things and then fixing them to reduce blurriness is rocket science.
