Re: IceUI
It didn't work. It says Wget.exe is not a valid Win 32 application.
It also says that it can't download it "Access Denied" and that the new IceUI is similarly not valid and the batch says "Access Denied."

Re: IceUI
Uh, history scrolling's annoying to accidentally run into all the time, is there a way to disable it?
No disappearing windows is nice, now I don't have to go text file editing that often. Would be nice if there was some hotkey to prevent windows from exiting the screen though. Would be really nice and probably unneccesary for windows to snap to other windows / edge of screen.

New volume slider is nice. Very nice. As is having a clock and FPS counter that you don't have to go text file editing to move.
Could you please start working on player info though? At 1600x1200, it's completely unreadable, icons are very difficult to seperate from eachother (this applies to the console too), and it lacks a way to view all players and not just your team. A combined cpu/lag/playername view for hosts would be awesome.

Re: IceUI
I'm getting an odd error with IceUI that seems to prevent it from loading in both revisions I've tried today. I started out with 67 and I just updated it to the latest. Here's my infolog:
Loaded widget: DGunLimit <gui_limit_dgun.lua>
false
Error in Initialize(): [string "local minimap = window:New(..."]:9: attempt to perform arithmetic on field '?' (a nil value)
Removed widget: IceUI
Loaded widget: IceUI <gui_IceUI.lua>

Re: IceUI
I'm using XP, I can't seem to get it to auto download wget and that can't seem to download IceUI. Is this batch only meant for Vista? If so, I need an alternate means of downloading this thing.
Re: IceUI
el_matarife: That crash bug should be fixed now.
CaptainMaim: It's pretty weird that it doesn't download.. You can also always get the latest version from http://tinyurl.com/yqtpuk (7z) or http://tinyurl.com/36smzm (tar.gz)..
edit: corrected the tar.gz link..

Re: IceUI
This thing is fantastic! I just have one question. How come I can't see the kills and deaths of my enemies? Will that change? I liked that in one of the older versions, reminded me of TA back before Spring.

Enemy's names on the player info list would be a good start too.MelTraX wrote:Yeah, that will change.. I can't promise when though..

Re: IceUI
Hey Meltrax, new IceUI is nice, as always
But I still have a feature request: It really bugs me that the message chat box is scrollable now by mouse wheel because you cannot zoom out or zoom in anymore when the mouse curser is above the box. Maybe you could change it to Shift + MouseWheel for scrolling in the message box so you can always normally zoom in/out?

Re: IceUI
I ran into a bug. I was dragging the clock under the big widget control box in the center and I let go. Since I can't a) move the big box in the center b) resize the big box in the center and c) select the clock under the box. I had to disable the clock cause there was no way for me to move it out of the center of the screen without manually editing the X,Y of the box by hand. Solve this however you like but that box is probably bigger than it needs to be anyway. If I could just click through it that would solve the problem.

Re: IceUI
Hm ok, you can switch it to CTRL + MouseWheel (I didnt know), but anyways zooming doesnt work. It just does nothing for me when I turn the MouseWheel with that option enabled (above the chat box).Brain Damage wrote:there is already an option that changes it to ctrl+mousewheel
Re: IceUI
Code: Select all
2008-01-15
+ Added an option for the console that hides the
console if it's empty.
* The mousewheel zooms now if CTRL is used for
history on the console.
* The options window in tweak-mode is now behind
all other windows and is a bit smaller.
Re: IceUI
Cool! I was just thinking that IceUI could really benefit from having the console hide when empty like the default spring one. Also, Ive included my custom IceUI profile at the bottom of my post. I posted it on the forums and UF a while ago but nobody seemed intrested. I think its a lot better then the default profile and you can replace the current default profile with this if you want.
